Know where they are.
Nobody else does.
SEE HOW IT WORKS
Haven Locate turns your Home Assistant dashboard into a real-time family map. Phones, wearables, pet collars, vehicles, anything with GPS or a Meshtastic radio shows up on your map and stays in your house.
Family phones
Every phone on your Haven network reports its location directly to your home server. No third-party app, no Life360, no Apple or Google watching.
Pet collars
Meshtastic collar nodes give you GPS tracking for dogs and cats across your neighborhood without cellular. Just radio and satellites.
Vehicles
OBD-II trackers or simple GPS modules report your car's location to Haven. Know where it's parked, when it moves, set geofence alerts.
Keys & bags
Bluetooth beacons integrated with Home Assistant. Lose something in the house? Your Haven server knows which room it's in.
Kids on foot
Meshtastic wearables give kids a panic button and location beacon that works in the park, at the bus stop, anywhere within mesh range.
Elderly family
Gentle location sharing for aging parents. Know they got home from the store. Get alerts if something seems off. All private.
Every tracking app below sells your family's location data, locks features behind subscriptions, or both. Here's what they cost and what they take.
Haven Locate
Location data never leaves your home. Built into Haven, runs on your server, zero monthly fees. Track phones via the companion app, pets and gear via Meshtastic mesh radios, vehicles via GPS modules. One map, one dashboard, no cloud.

Meshtastic is open-source radio mesh networking. Small, cheap radios that talk to each other over long range without cellular, without internet, without anyone in the middle.
How the mesh works
A base station at your house connects to your Haven server. Collar nodes on your pets, wearable nodes on your kids, and vehicle nodes in your car all communicate back to that base station over LoRa radio. Range: 1–10+ miles depending on terrain and antenna setup.
No SIM card. No cellular plan. No monthly fee. The radios cost $15–40 each and run for weeks on a single charge. They report GPS position, battery level, and can even send short text messages.
For families in rural areas, this is transformative. Your kid can walk to a friend's house a mile away and you can see their location on your Haven dashboard the entire time, through forest, across fields, with zero cellular coverage needed.
Pet collars
SenseCAP T1000-E nodes in weatherproof housings. GPS + LoRa in a package small enough for a dog collar. Track Olympia through the woods in real time.
Kid wearables
Wristband or clip-on nodes. Panic button sends an alert to your Haven dashboard instantly. Location updates every 30–120 seconds.
Vehicle trackers
USB-powered nodes that plug into a car's USB port. Reports location whenever within mesh range. Pairs with OBD-II for speed, mileage, diagnostics.
Haven server
Your Home Assistant instance runs the tracking dashboard. All location data stores locally. Accessible from any device on your network or remotely via Haven.
Phone companion
The Home Assistant companion app on each family member's phone reports location to your server. No third-party app, no middleman, no cloud relay.
Mesh radios
For pets, kids, cars, and anything else: Meshtastic nodes talk to a base station at your house, which feeds location data into Haven automatically.
